Designed primarily with your safety in mind, the Earth Mat is a new way for your Transmitter or Genny® to connect to ground. Inserting an Earth Stake without scanning carries a risk of striking a buried utility; the Earth Mat helps you minimize these risks.

Easy to use

Simply lay the Earth Mat out flat on the ground and connect the Transmitter or Genny Earth Lead. Pour a little water on the Earth Mat for an improved signal and start scanning immediately, more quickly and more easily than ever before.

The Earth Mat is also very useful on surfaces such as concrete and asphalt, where it is difficult to insert an Earth Stake.

Radiodetection recommends that you use an Earth Stake in the normal way, if the surface allows it, once you have completed a safety scan with the Earth Mat to make sure that the Stake is safe to use.
