Corning™ IDC Termination Tools allow for a safe and low force contact termination.

Upon use, the tools first insert the wire into the IDC element to the proper depth and then cut the excess wire with the integrated scissor tip.

The SOR OC SI-S termination tool is equipped with a wire hook, stored in the handle of the tool, which allows easy removal of wires from the IDC slots.

During the expected life of the tool (if maintained and used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions), it is anticipated that the tool will be capable of approximately 100,000 operations.
